Epilepsy Calgary

In honour of Epilepsy Awareness Month, the Epilepsy Association of Calgary requested a social media post to educate the public, advocate for awareness, and encourage community support. This design adhered to the organization’s Brand Guidelines to maintain consistency in messaging, color usage, and typography.

The internationally recognized color for epilepsy awareness, purple, created strong visuals through prominent features of the poster. Research on epilepsy awareness campaigns helped shape my design choices, such as incorporating a silhouette of a brain, and an EEG waveform. Both symbolize the neurological aspect of epilepsy. The final design strikes a balance between aesthetics and clear messaging, ensuring maximum engagement while adhering to and reinforcing the association’s mission.
